NITK develops hand sanitizer and distributes

NITK Surathkal, as a part of the measures undertaken for fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic, has developed hand sanitizer as per WHO recommended guidelines. The team is led by Prof. Arun Isloor, Head, Dept. of Chemistry alongwith research scholars in the development of the hand sanitizer.

As part of the first phase, about 400 bottles were distributed to NITK security personnel, Staff of SBI campus branch, NITK Health Care Centre and Surathkal Police Station by our Director Prof. Umamaheshwar Rao and Madam Neeraja Rao.
