The packet scheduler for Linux kernel implemented by Dr. Mohit P. Tahiliani and Team has been accepted by the Linux developers, and the code has been released in the latest version (Linux 5.6). This packet scheduler is called "Flow Queue Proportional Integral controller Enhanced (FQ-PIE)". It minimizes the queue delay for the packets in the network.

FQ-PIE has been listed among the best features added in Linux 5.6.
